Hannes Postma (1933-2020) was a Dutch artist known for his paintings, etchings, lithographs, and other forms of printmaking. He was trained at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam and developed his own unique style. Postma's work is characterized by expressive forms and lines, often with a sense of movement and energy. His work often features surrealist elements, such as distorted figures and unusual compositions. Postma won several international awards, including the 1st prize at the international triennial for color graphics in Grenchen (1964) and the Prix de la Critique in Paris (1965).
