Zao Wou-ki (1918-2013) was a Chinese-French artist known for his abstract paintings, but he was also a skilled printmaker. Zao Wou-ki started his career as a painter, but in the 1950s he began creating lithographs and etchings. His prints are characterized by expressive lines and colors, often combining elements of Chinese calligraphy with Western abstract art. Zao Wou-ki's prints are highly valued and exhibited in museums worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
