This rare color lithograph by George Rickey (1907-1966) from the early 1970s is hand signed and numbered from the limited edition of only 100. It depicts his Tetrahedan sculptures with his annotations. Rickey created his first kinetic sculptures in the early 1950s. They are constructed from aluminum sections, suspended so that the slightest breeze sets them in motion. The sections have a geometric shape, such as a square, a line, a rectangle, or a triangle. The shapes constantly shift in position and never touch each other, creating ever-changing compositions in space.
